| The camera shall be a long wave Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) video type enclosed in a compact housing suitable for fixed mounting or for attachment to a movable turret to provide enhanced visibility for low light or smoky conditions. Cold Start to video image shall be 30 seconds or less. A wide-angle field of view shall be provided approximately 46° horizontal x 35° vertical. The range to detect a person shall be 175 meters or more. The camera shall be able to operate in open ambient air temperatures from -30°C to +66°C. The thermal imaging camera shall include a selectable polarity system (white objects cold or hot) that displays a black and white picture. Contrast and brightness control shall be automatic. Digital signal processing shall be provided for low noise levels and increased sensitivity. Operating voltage shall be 9 to 28 VDC. Over-voltage protection shall be provided from –12 to 40 VDC. Video output shall be NTSC or PAL (factory setting). The resolution shall be 320 x 240 pixels. The camera lens shall be germanium for maximum clarity. The detector shall be thermoelectric cooled for temperature stabilization. Camera and housing shall be approximately 150 mm wide x 180 mm high x 140 mm deep with a weight not to exceed 2 kg.
