Dallas, Texas, February 15, 2012 Crash Rescue Equipment Service, Inc. announces the sale of the Renegade small truck product line and related intellectual properties to Unruh Fire, Inc. of Sedgwick, Kansas.
Renegade small trucks are highly effective, maneuverable aircraft rescue firefighting vehicles, typically built on a Ford 550 chassis. These rapid responders have been built and delivered to every branch of the United States military as well as commercial airports and industrial customers. Over 100 of these versatile ARFF vehicles have been produced by Crash Rescue and delivered worldwide.
Robert Conley, President of Crash Rescue stated, "Crash Rescue's decision was based on our firm commitment to focus on our core business of ARFF truck remanufacturing for both the United States Military and global commercial customers, as well as our expansion into remanufacturing complex heavy equipment for other platforms. With Unruh Fire already manufacturing custom brush trucks, rescue trucks, and command trailers, this is a natural fit for this product line. We are confident the Renegade product line will be moving forward with a bright future, and are proud of our role in its development as a brand."
President of Unruh Fire, Alex McDonald, said, "We are thrilled to enter the ARFF market after many years of working with municipal and military fire departments. We were attracted to the quality and reputation of the Crash Rescue Renegade Trucks. Unruh Fire already specializes in high quality custom firefighting vehicles and will add the Renegade ARFF trucks to its product line. Furthermore, we are excited about offering firefighters greater firefighting capability using Tri-Max technology".
Crash Rescue is the world leader in ARFF vehicle remanufacturing for all branches of the US military, commercial airport, and industrial customers, and heavy equipment remanufacturers for Oilfield equipment customers. Last summer, ICAO hosted one of their yearly meetings in Dallas and Crash Rescue was honored to host some of the members of ICAO at our facility. ICAO is the international organization responsible for writing aviation codes for airports worldwide.
Following a Crash Rescue presentation on our REBUILD Division (the Remanufacturing of ARFF vehicles and what the process can mean for airports of all index groups) as well as an in-depth Q & A discussion time, everyone toured the REBUILD plant. It was interesting for them to see firsthand how our operation works, as well as to see the detail that goes into the Crash Rescue Rebuild process; comments showed that they were very excited about the possibilities and the financial saving for airports they serve all over the world. We welcome all agencies and businesses to tour our facility. Please contact us for details.
